Atomic Red Team Definition: Atomic Red Team is an open-source library of small tests mapped to MITRE ATTACK techniques for validating detection coverage.
Atomic Red Team is an open-source, community-driven library of small, portable tests, called atomics, that are mapped to MITRE ATTACK techniques. Defenders execute these lightweight tests to safely simulate specific adversary behaviors and validate whether their detection and logging coverage catches the corresponding activity. It is widely used for detection engineering, purple teaming, and continuous security validation.
