ISO IEC 27002 Definition: ISO IEC 27002 is the international standard providing guidance and a catalog of 93 information security controls supporting ISO IEC 27001 implementation.
ISO IEC 27002 is an international standard that provides a detailed catalog of information security controls and implementation guidance, serving as a companion to the certifiable ISO IEC 27001 standard. The 2022 revision restructured the controls into four themes, organizational, people, physical, and technological, comprising 93 controls. Organizations use it as a reference to select and implement the controls referenced in the ISO IEC 27001 Annex A of their information security management system.
