Mean Time to Respond MTTR measures the average time from incident detection to containment, a key SOC efficiency and dwell-time metric.
Mean Time to Respond (MTTR) Definition: Mean Time to Respond MTTR measures the average time from incident detection to containment, a key SOC efficiency and dwell-time metric.
Mean Time to Respond MTTR is an incident-response metric measuring the average elapsed time from detection of a security incident to its containment or remediation. A lower MTTR indicates a more effective SOC and reduces the window of attacker dwell time; the acronym is sometimes also expanded as Mean Time to Remediate or Recover depending on the program.
