MITRE Caldera Definition: MITRE Caldera is an open-source adversary emulation platform that runs ATTACK-based attack chains to test detection and response capabilities.
MITRE Caldera is an open-source automated adversary emulation platform built on the MITRE ATTACK framework. It executes chained attack behaviors, called abilities, against target systems to test how well an organization's detection and response controls perform against realistic threat techniques. Security teams use it for red teaming, purple teaming, and validating defensive coverage in a repeatable, scriptable manner.
