A route-map in networking is a configuration tool used in routers to define specific conditions that traffic must meet to be forwarded in a particular way. It allows network administrators to implement complex routing policies by specifying a sequence of conditions and actions that determine how incoming or outgoing packets are handled based on criteria such as source/destination IP addresses, protocols, or interface types.
