Understanding Security Service Edge (SSE)

Security Service Edge SSE is the cloud-delivered security half of the SASE model, bundling Secure Web Gateway, Cloud Access Security Broker, and Zero Trust Network Access into a unified service that inspects and brokers access to web, cloud, and private applications. Coined by Gartner, SSE focuses on security functions independent of the SD-WAN networking that completes a full SASE architecture.
