Training Camp Expands AWS Product Line

TREVOSE, Pa. — September 2024 — Training Camp broadened its AWS product line this fall, adding to the range of Amazon Web Services certification boot camps available to cloud engineers and architects.

AWS remained the largest cloud platform by market share, and its certification program had grown into a tiered structure that many employers used as shorthand for cloud skill. The path runs from foundational credentials through associate and professional levels, with specialty exams covering areas like security, networking, and machine learning. Engineers and architects tended to move up that ladder as their responsibilities grew. Amazon had built out the specialty exams over several years as customers pushed into more focused work, and each one signaled a different depth of expertise.

Broadening the product line meant more of those paths were available under one instructor-led format. For a cloud engineer weighing which credential to pursue next, or an architect validating experience already earned on the job, having the options in one place cut down on the guesswork of piecing training together from scattered sources. Employers, for their part, often listed specific AWS credentials by name in job descriptions, which gave candidates a clear target to aim at.

The accelerated model fit the audience. AWS certifications, especially at the professional and specialty levels, expect hands-on familiarity, so the students who did best already worked with the platform and used the boot camp to sharpen and organize what they knew. Delivered live online and in person, the expanded lineup gave teams standardized on AWS a fuller menu to work through.

“Cloud engineers and architects kept asking us to cover more of the AWS track, not just the entry points,” said Ken Sahs, Director of Sales. “Widening the product line was a straightforward response to what our students were already trying to do.”

With cloud adoption still climbing across industries, AWS credentials continued to carry weight in hiring. Training Camp said it would keep its AWS offerings aligned with Amazon’s evolving certification program.
