Training Camp Introduces CompTIA Cloud+ Boot Camp

PHILADELPHIA — 2013 — Training Camp has introduced a boot camp for CompTIA Cloud+, the vendor-neutral cloud certification aimed at infrastructure professionals who work across more than one platform.

Most cloud training in 2013 pointed at a single provider and taught that provider’s way of doing things. Cloud+ took a different angle. It covered the concepts common to any cloud environment, deployment, management, storage, and security, without tying the credential to one company’s roadmap. For an administrator supporting a mix of systems, that neutrality had a practical appeal.

The certification suited infrastructure and network staff who already understood virtualization and wanted to formalize cloud knowledge that would carry from one environment to the next. It was not built for someone chasing a specific vendor’s architect title. Training Camp ran the material in an accelerated, classroom format, pairing lecture with lab time so candidates practiced the deployment and troubleshooting tasks the exam expects rather than reading about them.

Cloud+ sat within CompTIA’s broader certification stack, which already included widely held credentials for hardware, networking, and security. Slotting a cloud exam into that family gave practitioners a path that did not force an early bet on Amazon, Microsoft, or any other single provider. The exam leaned on the concepts an administrator meets regardless of platform, things like resource pooling, high availability, and the security controls that follow data into a hosted environment. Training Camp condensed that scope into a compressed schedule, with instructor-led review aimed at the objectives CompTIA published.

CompTIA positioned Cloud+ alongside its established Network+ and Security+ credentials, giving practitioners a recognized way to document cloud competence early in the technology’s adoption.
