Training Camp Delivers Custom CompTIA Tech+ Boot Camp for 500+

TREVOSE, Pa. — June 2024 — Training Camp built and delivered a custom CompTIA Tech+ boot camp for one of the country’s largest IT staffing and recruiting firms, preparing more than 500 people for the certification through a single coordinated program. Rather than send hundreds of new hires through the public class schedule a few at a time, the firm brought Training Camp in to run the whole effort as a private, in-person engagement built around its own incoming talent.

The boot camp ran in person over two days and was broken into sessions arranged around the experience levels of the people in the room. That structure was the firm’s call, shaped by what it knew about the group. Attendees ranged from near-beginners to people with real hands-on exposure, and a single flat lecture would have lost one end of that range or the other. Pacing the material in sessions kept the stronger attendees moving while giving the newer ones room to lock in the fundamentals.

CompTIA Tech+ covers the foundational skills that sit under every technical role, from hardware and software basics to core security, networking, and troubleshooting concepts. For a staffing firm, a certified baseline means a recruiter can put someone in front of a client knowing exactly what that person has proven they can do. The program finished with a 90 percent pass rate across the more than 500 participants, certifying the better part of an entire incoming class at once.
