TREVOSE, Pa. — February 10, 2026 — Training Camp hosted the first closed-beta event for EC-Council’s CAIPM certification, an invitation-only session that gave company alumni early access to the newest AI-focused credential in EC-Council’s catalog.

Closed betas serve a purpose that goes beyond a preview. Before a certification reaches the public, the certifying body needs real candidates to sit with the material and the exam so it can gauge difficulty, timing, and clarity. Inviting experienced people into that process tends to produce a better final version. Feedback gathered this way shapes scoring, weeds out confusing items, and confirms that the exam measures what it claims to.

Opening the event to alumni made sense on both sides. These were professionals who had already been through Training Camp courses and, in many cases, held certifications that gave them the background to engage with an AI-focused credential seriously. For them, the draw was a first look at where EC-Council was taking its AI work before anyone else saw it. It also gave Training Camp an early read on the material, useful for planning how it would eventually teach the credential.

CAIPM enters a certification market still figuring out how to measure AI-related skill, which makes early feedback especially valuable. Training Camp framed the event as exactly that, a chance to contribute rather than a finished course. What CAIPM will require and how it will sit alongside other credentials was part of what the beta was meant to help shape.

“Getting our alumni into the room before this credential goes public is good for everyone,” said Mike McNelis, Chief Marketing Officer. “They bring real experience, EC-Council gets honest feedback, and our people get an early look at where AI certification is heading.”

The closed beta marked Training Camp’s early involvement with CAIPM ahead of any general release. The company said it expected to offer formal preparation once EC-Council finalized the credential.
