Training Camp Delivers First Official CompTIA SecAI+ Boot Camp

TREVOSE, Pa. — February 15, 2026 — The first official CompTIA SecAI+ boot camp from Training Camp took place this month, adding CompTIA’s new AI security credential to a catalog that had been steadily building out its AI coverage.

SecAI+ answers a problem that grew as fast as AI adoption did. Organizations were deploying machine learning systems into production without a clear sense of how to secure them, and the usual security playbooks did not fully cover the new attack surface. The credential focuses on preparing security professionals to secure and defend AI systems specifically, from the data that trains them to the models running in production. Familiar risks took on new shapes here, from poisoned training data to prompts crafted to make a model misbehave.

The audience is security practitioners rather than newcomers. Someone taking SecAI+ is expected to understand security fundamentals already and to be extending that knowledge into AI, which is where the field was pushing many defenders whether they had planned for it or not. Threats aimed at models, training data, and the pipelines around them do not behave like traditional ones. The overlap with conventional security was real, but the differences were sharp enough to warrant dedicated training.

Being first to deliver the official boot camp meant Training Camp’s students reached the credential as CompTIA rolled it out rather than waiting. Delivered live online and in person, the course kept the hands-on emphasis the subject demands, since defending AI systems is not something a person learns well from theory alone.
