Training Camp Hires Magnus Carter as Senior Communications Manager
TREVOSE, Pa. — February 2024 — Training Camp has hired Magnus Carter as Senior Communications Manager, bringing on a communications professional whose background spans corporate public relations and international affairs to lead how the company tells its story.
Carter joins from Frontwave Investments, where he served as Communications Manager and handled the full range of public relations work, writing and distributing press releases and media kits, building relationships with reporters and industry contacts, running press events and media briefings, and managing internal communications. Before that he spent time in government as an International Affairs Specialist at USAID, reviewing policy and strategy for international engagement. Between those roles he took a period abroad in Namibia, immersing himself in local cultures and languages and developing presentations on business opportunities for international stakeholders, an experience that broadened an already global outlook.
Based in Washington, DC, Carter works across Training Camp’s marketing, product, and sales teams to sharpen and align the company’s messaging. His focus includes outreach campaigns for Training Camp’s programs, engagement with the company’s growing alumni network, relationships with nonprofit and community partners, and audience research aimed at explaining the company’s offerings clearly to very different kinds of students. Certification training is not always easy to describe to a newcomer, and much of the role is making it plain.
“Magnus has a real passion for storytelling and messaging, and that is exactly what this company needs,” said Mike McNelis, Chief Marketing Officer at Training Camp. “We change people’s careers here, and someone has to carry that message to the students who do not yet know we exist. Magnus has the skill and the instincts to do it, and I could not be happier to have him on the team.”
Carter’s hire is part of Training Camp’s continued investment in how it reaches and supports the professionals who train with it.
