AI+ Everyone is AI CERTs' one-day AI literacy certification for people in any role, now published as AI+ Everyone Fundamentals. This guide, current as of October 2026, covers the AC-900 exam, the eight exam modules and their weights, what it costs, how the one-year renewal works, the roles it fits, and how it compares with other AI literacy credentials.
AI+ Everyone is AI CERTs' entry-level AI literacy certification. AI CERTs now publishes it as AI+ Everyone Fundamentals, exam code AC-900, and its certification page notes that it was formerly known as AI+ Everyone.
It checks that you understand how AI, machine learning and generative AI relate to each other, can write prompts that return usable output, can put AI to work on email, meeting notes, reports and business tasks, and can spot the risks around bias, privacy, security and intellectual property. The exam is 50 multiple-choice and multiple-response questions in 90 minutes, and you need 35 correct (70%) to pass.
AI+ Everyone is written for business users. AI CERTs states no specific prerequisites and says no programming, machine learning or data science experience is needed. The credential is issued by AI CERTs, the trade name of Sarder Inc. in New York, which also publishes the exam blueprint and sets the recertification rules.
Describe how AI, machine learning, deep learning and generative AI fit together, and how a language model builds an answer.
Give AI clear instructions and context, then refine the output instead of taking the first draft.
Apply AI to email, meetings, reports and presentations, and to tasks in marketing, sales, HR and customer service.
Catch bias, privacy, security and intellectual property problems, and keep a person accountable for the result.
Judge where AI assistants and agents fit, check readiness, and build a personal AI productivity plan.
Four design choices separate AI+ Everyone from the AI certifications aimed at security, governance and engineering staff.
AI CERTs states no specific prerequisites and says programming, machine learning and data science experience aren't needed. What it does ask for is basic digital literacy and a habit of checking AI output before you use it. Its audience list runs from business leaders and marketing teams to product managers, consultants, trainers and students.
The introductory module on AI concepts is only 7% of the exam. Workplace productivity, business decisions and AI agents add up to 39%, and prompting takes another 15%, so more than half the questions are about putting AI to use.
The last module ends with a capstone. You analyze a scenario, propose an AI-supported workflow, mark where a person reviews the output, and explain the benefits and risks.
AI CERTs certifications are valid for one year, with a 6-month grace period after expiry. To renew, you buy recertification in the AI CERTs store, work through the updated content and pass an updated assessment, as the AI CERTs recertification page sets out.
That cycle keeps the content close to how generative AI tools work right now. It also means a yearly fee and a yearly assessment for every person on a team who holds it. Let the grace period run out and AI CERTs says you buy the full course again, so put the expiry date in a calendar the day you pass.
The certification, the AC-900 exam, and how AI+ Everyone renewal works as of October 2026, taken from AI CERTs' own pages and store.
AI CERTs groups these four under AI Essentials and lists the other three as recommended certifications on the AI+ Everyone page. All four use a 50-question, 90-minute exam with a 70% passing score, so what separates them is the audience each one is written for.
A self-paced option with about 4 hours of content. AI CERTs aims it at business professionals, technology leaders, ethics professionals and students who want AI and AI ethics basics in a shorter package.
Formerly AI+ Executive. A one-day course for business leaders and executives, built around AI strategy and the business impact of AI technologies.
Formerly AI+ Prompt Engineer Level 1. A one-day course that goes much further into prompt engineering, a topic AI+ Everyone covers in a single module worth 15% of the exam.
AI+ Everyone is meant to come first. AI CERTs calls it an ideal starting point for people new to AI, and its role-based AI+ certifications are the natural next step inside the same catalog. Past that, the right move depends on whether your work leans toward governance, AI programs or building.

Two questions to settle before you book: can you take the exam, and should AI+ Everyone be the AI credential you go for. Nobody is turned away on the first one.
No eligibility check needed.
AI CERTs states no specific prerequisites, so anyone can test. As of October 2026 the AI CERTs store sells the self-paced course with the online proctored exam for $195, including one free retake and a one-year subscription with content updates. Behind it sit about 8 hours of video, plus an e-book, audiobook, podcasts and an AI mentor for questions.
Same exam, with a live instructor.
AI CERTs' instructor-led course runs one day, live virtual or in a classroom, led by AI Certified Trainers and delivered through Authorized Training Partners. Training Camp's one-day AI+ Everyone boot camp is one of those options, taught on AI CERTs' authorized courseware with the AC-900 exam voucher included, so there is nothing extra to buy before you test.
AI+ Everyone is not an engineering credential, and it won't qualify you for an AI engineer or data scientist role on its own. AI CERTs aligns it with what it calls the AI Beginner or Business Professional role, meaning people whose current jobs now involve AI tools. These roles come from the audiences and job titles AI CERTs lists for it:
Decides where AI fits in the team's work and signs off on what it produces. Module 8 covers an AI adoption framework and an organizational readiness check, and AI CERTs lists business leaders and department heads among the roles it targets.
Drafts campaigns, customer messages and sales prep with generative AI. Module 5 covers AI in marketing, sales and customer service, and Module 7 covers the intellectual property and bias questions that come with public-facing content.
Uses AI for job descriptions, interview materials and other people tasks. Module 5 covers AI in HR and recruitment, and Module 7 explains how bias gets into data, prompts and decisions, which matters most when the decision is a hire.
Runs the meetings, reports and handoffs that AI tools now speed up. Module 4 covers meeting summaries, reports and presentations, and Module 6 covers no-code automation and agentic workflows for routine work.
Works next to the chatbots and AI assistants that answer customers. AI CERTs lists customer support among the alternate titles for this credential, and the agents module covers the controls an agent needs before it touches customer data.
Advises clients or teaches staff who are adopting AI tools. AI CERTs names consultants and trainers as an audience, and the eight-module outline gives a ready structure for a workshop or a client briefing.
AI+ Everyone is a literacy credential, so the useful comparison is with other credentials written for business users. Here is how it lines up against EC-Council's AIE and Anthropic's Claude Certified Associate.

AI CERTs' blueprint for exam AC-900 spreads 50 questions across eight modules. Three sit at 15 percent each, four sit at 12 percent, and the introduction is the smallest at 7 percent, which works out to only three or four questions. Most of the weight sits on using AI at work, so give the productivity, business and agents modules the bulk of your study time. Click any module for what it covers.
The smallest module. Core AI concepts, the hierarchy that runs from AI to machine learning, deep learning and generative AI, and how large language models process tokens and generate responses. It also covers how AI developed and how work splits between people and machines as AI spreads.
How generative systems differ from rule-based and predictive ones, large language models and transformer concepts, training and inference, and multimodal generation across text, image, audio and video. It also covers where generative AI fails, including hallucinations, outdated knowledge and inconsistent output.
The parts of an effective prompt (role, task, context, constraints, output format and examples), zero-shot and few-shot prompting, and iterative refinement. It lists the common mistakes, from vague requests to accepting the first answer, and closes with a case study on standardizing prompts across a company.
Using AI for email, meeting agendas and summaries, reports and proposals, presentation outlines, research and knowledge management, and personal planning. The module treats every AI output as a draft that still has to be checked and adapted to the real audience.
AI in marketing, sales, customer service, HR and recruitment, and business analysis. It then covers AI-assisted decisions and data-driven insights, with practice separating facts from assumptions so accountability stays with people rather than the model.
What AI agents are, how they differ from AI assistants, and the parts of an agentic workflow, including goals, memory, planning, tool use and human oversight. It adds no-code automation, personal and business agents, and the controls needed before an agent handles sensitive data.
Responsible AI principles, how bias gets into data, models, prompts and decisions, privacy and data protection, security risks in everyday AI use, and intellectual property. Case studies show why human oversight matters in hiring, finance and healthcare.
An adoption framework for picking use cases and weighing value against risk, a personal AI productivity plan, and an organizational readiness check. The capstone has you analyze a scenario, propose an AI-supported workflow, set human review points, and explain the benefits and risks.
Modules and weights reflect the AC-900 exam blueprint published on AI CERTs' AI+ Everyone Fundamentals page and store listing, checked on October 21, 2026. The course also includes an optional AI Agents for Everyone module that carries no exam weight.
The questions people ask most often when researching AI CERTs' AI+ Everyone certification.
AI+ Everyone is AI CERTs' entry-level AI literacy certification for people in any role. AI CERTs now publishes it as AI+ Everyone Fundamentals, with exam code AC-900. It covers how AI and generative AI work, prompting, AI for everyday work and business decisions, AI agents, responsible AI, and planning AI adoption, with no coding involved.
Yes. AI CERTs renamed the credential, and both its certification page and its store listing for AI+ Everyone Fundamentals say it was formerly known as AI+ Everyone. The exam code on both is AC-900. The older name still shows up on partner course listings and in older LinkedIn posts, so treat the two names as one certification.
No formal ones. AI CERTs says no specific prerequisites are required. It recommends basic digital literacy, familiarity with routine workplace tasks, curiosity about AI, and a willingness to check AI output and protect sensitive information. Programming, machine learning and data science experience are not needed.
The AC-900 exam has 50 multiple-choice and multiple-response questions and a 90-minute time limit. You need 70%, which is 35 correct answers, to pass. It is delivered online through a proctored exam platform, so you test from your own computer with a webcam instead of at a test center.
AI CERTs' exam blueprint lists Introduction to AI and the Future of Work (7%), Generative AI Fundamentals (15%), Prompt Engineering Essentials (15%), AI for Workplace Productivity (15%), AI for Business and Decision-Making (12%), AI Agents and Intelligent Automation (12%), Responsible AI, Ethics, Privacy, and Security (12%), and AI Adoption Strategy and Capstone Project (12%). The course also has an optional AI Agents for Everyone module that is not part of the weighted blueprint.
As of October 2026, the AI CERTs store lists AI+ Everyone Fundamentals at $195 USD. That price covers the self-paced course (videos, e-book, audiobook, podcasts, quizzes and an AI mentor) and the online proctored exam with one free retake. Instructor-led classes run through AI CERTs' Authorized Training Partners, and Training Camp's one-day boot camp includes the exam voucher.
One year. AI CERTs certifications are valid for one year, with a 6-month grace period after expiry. To renew, you buy recertification in the AI CERTs store, complete the updated course content and pass an updated assessment, and the fee is shown at checkout. AI CERTs also says a higher-level AI CERTs certification can fulfill the requirement. Miss the grace period and you buy the full course again.
AI CERTs doesn't claim either for AI+ Everyone Fundamentals. Its ANSI compliance page says its programs follow ISO 17024:2012 standards and that it is actively pursuing ANAB accreditation, which is not the same as being accredited. None of its AI+ Everyone pages make a DoD 8140 claim, so check the DoD Cyber Exchange if you need a credential for a DoD 8140 work role.
Both are nontechnical AI literacy credentials, but they are built differently. AI+ Everyone (AC-900) has 50 questions in 90 minutes, a one-day official course, and one-year validity with yearly recertification. EC-Council's AIE (112-59) has 75 questions in two hours, a two-day official course, and stays valid for three years before you retest. AI+ Everyone also gives AI agents and business decision-making their own modules.
It supports roles that use AI without building it, such as team leader, marketing or sales professional, HR or recruiting professional, operations or project coordinator, customer support lead, and consultant or trainer. AI CERTs aligns it with what it calls the AI Beginner or Business Professional role. It is a foundation credential, not a qualification for AI engineering or data science jobs.
No. AI CERTs says programming, machine learning and data science experience are not necessary, and none of the eight modules is about writing code. You do need to understand ideas like how large language models generate answers, how an AI agent differs from an AI assistant, and where generative AI goes wrong, from hallucinations to bias.
AI CERTs' instructor-led course runs one day, and the self-paced version has about 8 hours of content. The self-paced purchase includes a one-year subscription with content updates, so you can spread the material over several weeks if that suits you. AI CERTs does not publish a recommended study time beyond the course length.
It depends on what you need it for. AI+ Everyone fits well if you want a one-day, lower-cost AI baseline that a whole team can earn, built around everyday work instead of theory. It fits less well if you need a credential hiring managers already ask for by name, since AI CERTs is a newer certification body, or if you don't want to recertify every year.
If you're weighing AI+ Everyone for yourself or planning a one-day AI baseline for a whole team, tell us where you are and we'll help you plan the next step.
