What is EIGRP Reported Distance?

The EIGRP Reported Distance is the metric used to represent the total metric from a neighbor to a particular destination network in an EIGRP routing domain.

Understanding EIGRP Reported Distance

EIGRP Reported Distance is the accumulated metric of the best path to a specific network as advertised by a neighboring router in an EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) network. It represents the total metric value (including bandwidth, delay, reliability, load) assigned to the path by the router that is reporting it. This metric is used by EIGRP routers to calculate the best path to reach a destination network within the network topology.
