Understanding EIGRP Successor

EIGRP Successor: EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) Successor is a route selected by EIGRP to be used for packet forwarding. The successor route is the best route to reach a particular destination network, based on the EIGRP metric calculated by factors such as bandwidth, delay, reliability, and load. EIGRP routers maintain a successor route in their routing table alongside feasible successor routes as backup paths.
