Understanding Ephemeral Ports

Ephemeral ports are temporary network ports used by client machines to communicate with servers. These ports are dynamically assigned by the operating system from a predefined range to facilitate client-server communication. Once the communication session is completed, ephemeral ports are released back to the pool for reuse by other connections.
