Understanding LSDB

LSDB stands for Link State Database. It is a centralized database used in link-state routing protocols, such as OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) and IS-IS (Intermediate System to Intermediate System), to store information about the network topology. LSDB contains details about routers, links, and their statuses, enabling routers to build a precise map of the network. Routers exchange LSAs (Link State Advertisements) to update the LSDB and calculate the shortest path to reach a destination.
