Malware as a Service MaaS Definition: Malware-as-a-service MaaS leases ready-made malware and infrastructure to criminals on subscription, lowering the barrier to launching attacks.
Malware-as-a-service MaaS is a cybercrime business model in which developers create and lease malicious software, infrastructure, and support to less skilled criminals on a subscription or commission basis. Offerings can include ransomware, info-stealers, botnets, and phishing kits, often bundled with dashboards and customer support. MaaS lowers the technical barrier to launching attacks and has accelerated the scale and frequency of cybercrime.
Malware as a Service MaaS is one of the topics you'll master in the CEH Boot Camp.
