MIB, or Management Information Base, is a structured collection of information and data that is used in network management systems (NMS) to manage devices in a network. It defines the parameters and structure of the data accessible via Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) for monitoring and controlling network devices. MIB organizes data in a hierarchical manner using Object Identifiers (OIDs) and allows for standardized communication between network management systems and network devices.
