Understanding Quishing

Quishing is a form of phishing that uses malicious QR codes to direct victims to fraudulent websites or to trigger harmful actions when scanned with a mobile device. Because the destination URL is hidden inside the code and email security gateways often do not parse images, quishing can bypass traditional link-scanning defenses. Attackers commonly embed QR codes in emails, posters, and parking meters to harvest credentials or deliver malware.
