SCAP enables security tools to communicate and share information such as Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) identifiers, Common Configuration Enumeration (CCE) identifiers, Common Platform Enumeration (CPE) identifiers, and Security Checklists in a consistent manner, allowing for more efficient and effective security operations and risk management.
