Split Horizon Definition: Split Horizon is a technique used in networking to prevent routing loops by not advertising a route back out the same interface it was received on.
Split Horizon is a networking technique used in computer networks to prevent routing loops. It involves a router or firewall not advertising routes back to the same interface from which the route was learned. This prevents packets from being continuously forwarded between two or more routers when a network link is down, which can lead to network congestion and inefficient routing.
