Understanding Stateless Firewall

A stateless firewall is a network security system that filters packets based solely on predetermined criteria such as source and destination IP addresses, ports, and protocols. Unlike stateful firewalls, stateless firewalls do not keep track of the state of active connections. Each packet is evaluated in isolation, without considering the history of the traffic. Although stateless firewalls are faster and less resource-intensive than stateful firewalls, they provide less comprehensive security because they do not analyze the context of traffic flows.
