Stub Router Definition: A Stub Router is a router in a network topology that only has a single route to a specific destination and lacks information about other routes in the network.
A stub router is a network router that connects a local network to a wider network, typically the Internet, but only has a single route for all outgoing traffic. Stub routers do not participate in the routing process of the wider network and simply forward all external traffic to a default gateway. They are commonly used in small-scale networks to provide a single point of access to the external network.
