SVIs Switch Virtual Interface Definition: A Switch Virtual Interface (SVI) is a virtual interface on a layer 3 switch that enables routing and communication between VLANs.
Switch Virtual Interface (SVI) is a logical interface configured on a Layer 3 switch that allows the switch to participate in routing. SVIs enable the switch to route traffic between different VLANs by acting as the default gateway for devices within each VLAN. This virtual interface provides the necessary routing functions without the need for physical router interfaces.
