Understanding Well-Architected Framework

The Well-Architected Framework is a set of cloud design principles and best practices, originated by AWS and echoed by Azure and Google Cloud, for building secure, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective workloads. The AWS version is organized into six pillars: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability. The Security pillar guides protecting data, systems, and assets through identity management, detective controls, infrastructure and data protection, and incident response.
