Understanding Wi-Fi Protected Access

Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is a security protocol designed to secure wireless networks. It improves on the earlier Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) protocol by providing stronger data protection through the use of encryption methods such as Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). WPA helps prevent unauthorized access to wireless networks by encrypting data transmissions and requiring authentication via a password or passphrase.
