TLOC Definition: TLOC (Transport Locator) is a Cisco SD-WAN attribute that identifies a WAN tunnel endpoint by system IP, color, and encapsulation, used to build overlay routing paths.
TLOC stands for Transport Locator. In Cisco (Viptela) SD-WAN, a TLOC is an attribute that identifies a WAN transport tunnel endpoint on an edge router, uniquely defined by the combination of system IP address, transport color (link type), and encapsulation. TLOCs are advertised through the Overlay Management Protocol (OMP) and are used to establish and route traffic across the SD-WAN overlay fabric.
