Most professionals start with a CIPP concentration, which validates knowledge of privacy laws and regulations in a specific jurisdiction. CIPP/US covers United States private-sector privacy laws and regulations, while CIPP/E covers European data protection law, including the GDPR. Professionals working across both markets often earn both concentrations.
