C|RAGE is EC-Council’s professional certification for people who govern AI and stand behind its decisions. It validates your ability to run AI governance end to end: policy design, regulatory compliance, risk and third-party management, security controls, privacy and trust, incident response, and assurance and auditing. EC-Council launched it in 2026 as part of its enterprise AI certification suite.

No. C|RAGE is a governance and risk certification, not an engineering one. It covers AI foundations and security architecture at the level a governance leader needs to make decisions and ask the right questions, but the focus is policy, risk, compliance, and assurance rather than building models.

EC-Council recommends three years of cybersecurity experience. If you attend official training, that is your qualifying path and the application fee is included in your course. If you sit the exam without training, you must apply through EC-Council’s eligibility process and pay a one hundred dollar application fee.

The exam code is 612-51. It has 100 multiple choice questions and a three hour time limit, delivered through the EC-Council exam portal with remote proctoring. EC-Council uses a variable cut score set per exam form, generally in the 70 to 80 percent range, to account for differences in question difficulty.

C|AIPM covers leading and scaling AI programs, C|OASP covers offensively testing and securing AI systems, and C|RAGE covers governing, regulating, and auditing AI.
