Microsoft gives you 120 minutes. Expect between 40 and 60 questions, and a scaled score of 700 out of 1000 to pass.

Microsoft launched AI-200 as a beta exam. Beta sittings score normally once the exam moves to general availability, and Microsoft notes its own free practice assessment usually appears within eight weeks of an exam leaving beta. Microsoft enforces no prerequisite certification. It does assume Python, Azure data management services, Azure messaging and eventing, vector databases, and experience running containerised applications on Azure.
AI-103 is about building apps and agents on Azure AI services and Foundry. AI-200 is about the Azure platform underneath an AI application: containers, Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL vector stores, Redis, Service Bus, Event Grid, Functions, Key Vault and OpenTelemetry. Many teams need both, in that order.
