    Frequently Asked Questions

Our course is updated no less than twice per month.  The benefit of being the volume leader in CISSP certification training is that we receive so much more post-class student feedback than any other provider.  This feedback allows us to continually fine tune the material covered during the course.

The answer depends on your definition of better.  If you are highly motivated and are able to login to a live/online virtual course in a distraction-free environment, the travel time and cost savings can be worth it.  If, however, you would benefit from being removed from home or work distractions, then a classroom course will be the better choice.

Other providers like to mix virtual and in-classroom students, since it makes each class more profitable.  In our experience, this mixed environment creates unnecessary distraction yielding poor certification results.  Our virtual and physical classes are never two versions of the the same event.

Our courseware includes pre-class study material that is available immediately after registration.  We will ship the actual courseware used during the CISSP bootcamp should a student request it.

Training Camp can provide your organization with a 'golden handcuff' agreement that protects employers from this situation.  In the event that an emergency situation arises, Training Camp will make a seat available in a course so that regulatory requirements remain satisfied.

Our CISSP Training Camps were built from the ground up as 'outcome-based' programs.  The exam serves as an excellent motivator to keep students engaged during our intensive programs.  Should, however, a student wish to delay taking the CISSP exam, we can make arrangements to reschedule the test, subject to any restrictions or charges by (ISC)2.

Instructor bios are available upon request.  All CISSP training camp instructors are both CISSP certified AND endorsed by (ISC)2.  Our recruiting and hiring requirements are the strictest in the industry, since our programs utilize accelerated and adult learning methodologies.

Students in our physical classroom courses should be prepared for 10 hour days M-F, with a shorter day of exam-focused review on Saturday before the exam.  Our virtual courses are scheduled to accommodate a more traditional classroom schedule - while the instructors are available for the extra time for students that would like to receive the extra review.

As a value-added feature, Training Camp offers access to live, online Saturday exam-focused review sessions.  Any classroom or virtual student may attend any review session subject only to availability.

Training Camp has employed numerous exam writers, including some that have written exam questions directly for (ISC)2, to produce a pool of practice questions numbering in the thousands.  We continue to strive to provide the LEAST amount of practice questions to our students.  These questions are shuffled in and out of our materials based on student feedback.

(ISC)² and their other partners offer a 5 day (8 hours per day) course called the Official CBK Training Seminar for the CISSP.  While these are great programs to educate students on the 8 domains of the CISSP common body of knowledge, neither the courseware nor instruction/instructors are explicitly aimed at preparing students to pass the CISSP examination.

CISSP credential holders are required to earn 120 continuing professional education (CPE) credits over 3 year increments.   Training Camp, as an Authorized Partner and Trusted CPE provider, will provide our customers with access to all the necessary education required to remain in good standing at no additional cost.

All candidates who pass an (ISC)² credential examination must complete the endorsement process within a time period of no longer than nine (9) months. Our education services team has CISSPs on staff that will gladly review and endorse student applications.  A percentage of the candidates who pass an (ISC)² examination and submit endorsements will be randomly subjected for audit and required to submit additional information, as required, for verification.

Training Camp includes CISSP exam vouchers in the price of our classroom boot camp courses.  Unlike grey market companies, we purchase these vouchers directly from (ISC)2.  Students, unless they request otherwise, take the adaptive computer-based exam on the last day (day 6) of our CISSP Training Camp.

If you’re not 100% satisfied with your training at the end of the first day, you may enroll in a different course.
