CompTIA PenTest+ Exam Voucher

As of 2026, the standard CompTIA retail price for the CompTIA PenTest+ exam (PT0-003) is $439. Training Camp sells the official exam voucher for $373, a savings of $66 versus buying directly from CompTIA. It is the same official credential you would buy from CompTIA and covers the full exam fee at any Pearson VUE testing center or through OnVUE online proctoring. You can confirm current pricing on CompTIA's official PenTest+ page.

Works for any current version of the PenTest+ exam. CompTIA vouchers are issued for the certification, not a single exam version, so you can schedule whichever version is available when you book at Pearson VUE.

Training Camp is an authorized CompTIA Platinum Partner with 25+ years in IT certification training. The voucher you receive is identical to one bought from CompTIA directly, same exam, same Pearson VUE proctoring, same official credential. The differences are price (consistently below MSRP), instant email delivery, dedicated support if you hit redemption issues, and the option to bundle your voucher with one of our boot camps. Bundle students also get exam protection and a Free Retake.

Your CompTIA exam voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. You can schedule and sit your exam any time within that window. Most candidates schedule within 60 to 90 days of finishing their training while the material is fresh, but the 12-month buffer gives you flexibility if life gets in the way. Once a voucher expires, it cannot be reactivated, refunded, or transferred to another exam. This is CompTIA's policy, not ours, and there are no extensions. Our recommendation: don't buy a voucher until you have a realistic timeline to take the exam, and once you do, schedule the exam date as soon as you commit to a study plan. Holding yourself to a hard deadline is the single biggest factor in actually finishing the certification.

Your voucher code is emailed to you within 24 hours of checkout (check your spam folder if it doesn't show up). To redeem: visit pearsonvue.com/comptia, create an account or log in to your existing one, search for your specific exam (in your case, PT0-003), choose between an in-person Pearson VUE testing center or OnVUE online proctoring, and enter your voucher code at the payment step, and it will cover the full exam fee. Critical: the name on your Pearson VUE account must match your government-issued photo ID exactly, including middle names. If they don't match, you'll be turned away on exam day and forfeit the voucher with no refund. Double-check the spelling before you save your profile, and bring two forms of ID just to be safe (driver's license + passport, or driver's license + credit card with matching name).

Yes, CompTIA exams can be taken either at a Pearson VUE testing center or online from home through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring service. The voucher works for both. To take the exam online, you'll need: a quiet, private room with no other people present, a working webcam and microphone, government-issued photo ID, a stable wired internet connection (Wi-Fi works but is risky), and a desktop or laptop running the OnVUE secure browser (Chromebooks and tablets are not supported). At check-in, the proctor scans your room with your webcam, verifies your ID, and monitors you continuously during the exam. You cannot leave camera view, take notes, talk out loud, have any materials within reach, or have a second monitor connected. Most CompTIA exams provide a digital whiteboard inside the exam interface instead of physical scratch paper. If you're not comfortable with home proctoring, or your home internet is unreliable, the testing center route is the safer call.

You can reschedule your exam through your Pearson VUE account at no charge as long as you do it at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Within 24 hours of the appointment, or if you simply no-show, you typically forfeit the voucher and have to buy a new one. There is no limit on how many times you can reschedule, as long as you stay outside the 24-hour window each time and your voucher is still within its 12-month validity period. To reschedule: log into your Pearson VUE account, find your appointment under "Upcoming Exams," click "Reschedule," and pick a new date or testing format. If something legitimately unexpected happens (medical emergency, OnVUE technical issue on Pearson's end), contact Pearson VUE support immediately. They sometimes make exceptions, but only if you reach out fast.

CompTIA exam vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable per CompTIA's policy. This rule is set by CompTIA, not Training Camp, and applies industry-wide regardless of where you buy. Once a voucher is purchased, it's tied to the original buyer and the specific exam: a Security+ voucher cannot be used toward a Network+ exam, and you can't sell or give your voucher to someone else. Before you buy, make sure you've blocked out time for studying and have a realistic exam date in mind within the 12-month window. If you're not yet confident you'll be ready, the safer move is to pair the voucher with one of our boot camps. Boot camp students get exam protection: if you don't pass on the first attempt, you can retake the class at no cost. That removes most of the risk of buying a voucher and not being prepared in time.
