Project management certification for 15 PMs, CISM for 10 IT staff, and technical security awareness for 30 vehicle engineers.
Canoo was moving new vehicles from design toward production and needed stronger project management to keep that work planned and on schedule. Its IT team needed formal security management training, and its engineers needed to understand the security risks in the connected vehicles they were designing.
We trained 15 of Canoo’s project managers, and 85% passed their certification exam. Ten IT staff completed ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) training. Thirty vehicle design engineers went through a technical security awareness program focused on connected vehicle systems and the software that runs them. Security choices made at the design stage are hard to undo later, which is why Canoo wanted its engineers trained early.
Canoo was an American electric vehicle company founded in 2017. When we worked with Canoo, it was designing vehicles on its own modular “skateboard” platform, including a lifestyle vehicle for consumers and delivery vehicles for commercial fleets, and its engineers were building the connected systems and software inside them.
