On April 1, 2026, ISC2 is cutting the number of qualifying experience waiver certifications from ~50 to ~25. If you hold a cert that currently qualifies for a one-year experience waiver, it may no longer count after that date.
Certifications being removed: CEH, CISA, CRISC, OSCP, and most GIAC certifications.
Certifications that still qualify: CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CASP+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, ISC2 CCSP/SSCP, and ISACA CISM. The 4-year degree waiver is unchanged.
If you apply before April 1, 2026, you can use the current (broader) list. After that date, only the reduced list applies.
